paradise-creek-bicycles

Paradise Creek Bicycles opened its doors in 1989 to serve the growing demand for bicycles on the Palouse. As the oldest bike shop in the area, we have provided the Palouse with friendly and high-quality bicycle maintenance for 30 years. We are known on the Palouse and with our customers for our top-notch customer service.

Paradise Creek Bicycles converted to Mobile in 2025 providing bike repair service for anything that comes in a box to fully built bicycles for riders of all ages, from 2-year-olds on up! We try not to cater to any one rider demographic and have the mechanic skills to fix everything from kids’ bikes to mountain bikes, and road bikes of all styles and sizes.

We have loads of used bikes for sale and accept trade-ins.  We also rent e-bikes with local hotel pick-up.

Our goal is to provide the best possible customer service, grounded in solid product knowledge, and professional service.

As we continue into our 30th year in business, Paradise Creek Bicycles continues to lead the way on the Palouse, offering our customers mobile repair to better meet your needs.

TJay Clevenger, Owner

TJay Clevenger was raised in the 1970’s in Nordman; a small, remote logging community located on Priest Lake in the northern most part of Idaho. There were only a few mechanics willing to work on bikes and the closest bike shop was 100 miles away, so T-Jay soon learned that if something broke, he had to fix it. It was through this experience that T-Jay gained the knowledge to work on his Coast to Coast Coastking (a Schwinn Stingray knockoff) and pedaled it around for almost 10 years.

In the 1980’s T-Jay moved to the “Big City” of Coeur D’ Alene where he attended Jr. and Sr. high school. It was there that he fell in love with his first geared bike, because it enabled him to explore even more of Idaho. 30+ years later, he still rides that Schwinn more than any other bike. In 1990’s TJay took his bike with him to the Persian Gulf war, and for five years he and his bike toured the world on the USS Independence.

Fresh out of the Navy T-Jay moved to Moscow in 1996 to pursue a college education in Geology. He started as a mechanic 1996 at Paradise Creek Bicycles and within a year was managing the service department. In 2003 he graduated from the University of Idaho. After a five year break from bikes, in 2008 TJay returned to the bicycle industry and purchased Paradise Creek Bicycles in partnership with his father and brother. His mission statement “engages the communities of Moscow and Pullman in the activity and healthy lifestyle of cycling and hockey”.
